Vision & Mission

Vision Statement:

To ensure accessible, community-driven healthcare services that prioritize the needs of the most vulnerable populations on the Saanich Peninsula, with a commitment to culturally sensitive, patient-focused care.

Mission Statement:

SPOT-SDELḴ mission is to establish and operate a low-barrier, community-based health centre and mobile outreach that delivers comprehensive, culturally appropriate care to the most vulnerable and underserved individuals on the Saanich Peninsula. We aim to prioritize high-needs patients, including, but not limited to, First Nations individuals, while fostering trust, consistency, and improved health outcomes through relationship-based care and flexible service delivery.

  • First Nations and Indigenous People

Our care also extends to those seeking supports for mental health or substance use challenges, and significant social or economic barriers.

Our family physicians offer a full range of primary care services, including access to opioid agonist therapy for those with substance use disorders.

The purposes of the SPOT-SDELK Society are:

  • To provide accessible, culturally sensitive, and patient-focused healthcare through flexible delivery methods, serving the high-need complex care population of the Saanich Peninsula prioritizing the W̱SÁNEĆ communities and other Indigenous and others with multiple barriers to health.
  • Provide trauma-informed, team-based care with other allied health care providers to provide ongoing coordination and connection to specialists according to client needs.
  • Establish and operate a community-based health centre fostering trust, consistency, and improved health outcomes through relationship-based care.
